DECLARATION
THE KINGDOM OF MORROCO RECOGNIZES THE RIGHT OF KABYLE PEOPLE TO HIS SELF-DETERMINATION
As part of the 70th session of the general assembly of the UN, on October 27th, 2015, the representative of Morocco kingdom expressed the support of his country to the right of kabyle people to self-determination.
The representative of his majesty the king Mohammed VI in UN has in fact declared:
«It is regrettable that the legitimate aspirations of the autochthonous people of Kabylia are still trampled in the twenty-first century. His human rights are violated daily, his legitimate representatives are persecuted and his leaders are pursued, even when they are in exile».
The UN is in «political obligation (…) to fix this historical injustice with regard to Kabyles».
The Anavad welcomes with satisfaction this courageous declaration full of wisdom and lucidity. The solidarity that Morocco has just expressed with regards to kabyle people is of great profundity and of unequalled historical influence for the future of Kabylia.
A step has just come to an end. Now we enter in a new diplomatic process of which the climax will be the organization of self-determination referendum in Kabylia, under the aegis of the UN.
It is sure that the advent of a free Kabylia on the international scene will form a solid base for an appeased and a united North Africa.
The Anavad expresses, on behalf of Kabylia, his thanks to Morocco kingdom, to his people, and at their head, his majesty the King Mohammed VI.
This official recognition of the inalienable and legitimate right of the kabyle people to exercise self-determination is a very great victory on the way of our independence. Kabylia is glad about it.
The Anavad calls the governments of the five continents to follow the Moroccan example by supporting the kabyle people to exercise their right to self-determination. In order to give body to this call, the Provisional Government of Kabylia will, in less than one year, submit in this context an official request of Kabylia in the UN.
He calls the Algerian free press to show discernment and objectivity in dealing with the development of the kabyle question locally and internationally.
He warns the algerian government against repressive temptation. The Anavad is a government opened to dialogue and negotiation in order that the process of self-determination in Kabylia happens in serenity.
